Pledge to Stand for Human Rights and Immigrants in Texas
By LUPE, November 9, 2012

Monday, November 12 is the first day that Texas politicians can pre-file legislation for the up coming legislative session. Latino voters played a decisive role in the outcome of Tuesday's election. We're growing in influence and exerting our right to respect. Politicians should be taking note and canning their anti-immigrant rhetoric. Instead many Texas lawmakers are lining up to pre-file their anti-immigrant legislation. Join La Union del Pueblo Entero in pledging to fight their hateful, divisive bills.

The time is now to build a more inclusive society that welcomes immigrants–not create division with anti-immigrant legislation. In this historic moment, it is clear that these legislators are lining up on the wrong side of history. Pledge to stand on the right side of history.
