“Tomorrow night I'm going to be announcing here from the White House some steps I can take to start fixing our broken immigration system,” the president said in a video posted on Facebook today (Wednesday).

The announcement will be made at 7pm Central according to the White House website.

It is unclear who will benefit from the changes the president will make, but sources close to the president say that parents of US citizen children will be the primary beneficiaries of an expansion of the Deferred Action program that has helped DREAMers since 2012. The same sources say that two important groups of undocumented immigrants, parents of Deferred Action recipients and farmworkers, will be excluded from the plan.
