We did it! Eva is coming home.

Thanks to everyone who signed, called, wrote letters, and showed up today, we are happy to announce that Eva will return home to be with her son and family.

Eva, La Unión del Pueblo Entero and the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health thank you for your efforts and those of everyone involved in the #LetEvaStay campaign. We could not have done this without you!

But the battle against the racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant administration that seeks to trample on the basic human rights of immigrant families is not over. Although Eva may be free for now, we must remain vigilant. ICE has requested her to come back in June. Which means more we have more time to organize and keep Eva with her family and #RGV community.

We must also mention that fellow Poderosa, Alejandra Pablos was illegally detained at her check-in by ICE in Arizona and needs your help as well. Please sign the petition for her release.

Want to help us continue fighting to keep families together?
