At LUPE, we make immigration services affordable and accessible to the community. At our offices, you will find the following services to help with you with the process, available for all LUPE members:

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA 

On June 15, 2012, President Obama created a new policy calling for deferred action for certain undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children. Applications under the program which is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) began on August 15, 2012.

U.S. Legal Permanent Residency

LUPE services on permanent residency:

  • Obtaining residency
  • Family based petitions
  • Green Card/I-90 renewals


U.S. Citizenship

To obtain a U.S. Citizenship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Reside in the U.S. as a permanent resident for five years (three years if obtained residency through marriage)
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You might qualify to take the civics exam in Spanish if you (1) are older than 50 and have at least 20 years as Legal Permanent Resident or (2) are older than than 55 and have at least 15 years as Legal Permanent Resident
