Finance Manager

La Union del Pueblo Entero, LUPE seeks an experienced full-time Finance Manager to join our team.  This position plays a key role in LUPE’s funding strategy and long-term financial security. The Finance Manager is responsible for the budget planning and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. Typical duties include reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing financial forecasts.

The ideal candidate must be Bilingual in English and Spanish and be proficient user of finance software and have knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.  It is preferred the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in in Finance or Accounting; and 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.  A CPA is a plus.

Social Service Provider – Rio Grande City

La Union del Pueblo Entero, LUPE seeks an experienced full-time Social Services Provider for our new Rio Grande City Office. The Social Services Provider will work closely with all LUPE departments and the rest of the immigration team to ensure the provision of the best quality immigration and other social services to our immigrant and low-income communities. This person will be responsible for providing immigration and social services and office clerical work. Immigration and social services include, but are not limited to family-based petitions, DACA, citizenship, income tax, notary services, and translations.

The ideal candidate must be Bilingual in English and Spanish and be proficient in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.  It is preferred the candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field in addition to experience working with low-income communities; and/or is Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) accredited.  A minimum of two (2) years of specialized training and experience in tax preparation, immigration and/or Latino issues is required.

Community Organizer – San Juan (Education )

La Union del Pueblo Entero, LUPE seeks an experienced full-time Community Organizer to lead our education initiatives.  The Community Organizer upholds LUPE’s core values of respect, self-help and hope through grassroots organizing, education and mobilized participation.

The Community Organizer will support LUPE’s building of community leadership, capacity and power through education initiatives. The Community Organizer educates youth and families on the benefits of belonging to a community organization through community education sessions; “self-help” trainings on how to search for and utilize community resources necessary to improve on their quality of life; “juntas caseras” to educate and generate interest one-on-one visits.  LUPE’s education initiatives include career readiness and advising for juniors & seniors; college access – application, financial aid; resources for Dreamers and DACA youth; and mobilization around issues affecting youth.

The ideal candidates must be Bilingual in English and Spanish and must have over two years of college in addition to a minimum of two (2) years of significant and progressively responsible experience organizing.
