Essential immigrant workers harvest and prepare our food, build our homes, beautify our neighborhoods, and care for our children and the elderly. Their heroic work ensures we can stay home. Yet many of them were purposefully left out of COVID-19 relief. Republican leadership said that aid for undocumented workers and their families was a non-starter. They were not deemed essential enough to receive relief checks or be included in COVID-19 testing and care.
Congress may have abandoned immigrant workers but we will not. Donate to our fund to aid immigrant workers who are risking their lives to save ours. All donations will be disbursed to farmworkers and undocumented immigrants in the Rio Grande Valley who are suffering because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
