A court could end DACA at any time. Will you fuel our response?

We need to be ready to defend DACA when the appeals court releases its ruling.

It was 10 years ago today that DACA applications opened to immigration youth for the first time.

It is undeniable that DACA has helped Texas youth and their families remain together and thrive.

That’s why it’s so troubling that the 5th Circuit court of appeals could end the program as we know it.

The appeals court heard a case earlier this month brought by the State of Texas that aims to strike down DACA. The court could release its ruling at any time. We need to be ready to defend DACA when it does. Can you rush a donation of $15 to help us prepare to respond to the ruling when it comes down?

Dreamers organized for and won DACA because they know that all of us, across race and place of birth, have worth.

We are worth paychecks that equal the true value of our work.

We are worth quality schools that teach the truth of our past.

We are worth clean air, water, and energy that our families can depend on.

For the past 10 years, DACA has helped immigrant youth move toward a future where our families are whole and our communities are vibrant.

But DACA isn’t enough.

It’s not enough when immigrants are cruelly detained and deported.

It’s not enough when asylum seekers are rejected.

It’s not enough when we have to live in limbo not knowing what our future holds.

We need more because we are worth more. We are worth dignified, free lives. We won’t stop until that is a reality.

We are organizing for a Rio Grande Valley where we can ALL live freely and safely. We can only get there by winning permanent protections for all 11 million undocumented people.

No matter the outcome, the appeals court’s ruling on DACA will be an important opportunity for LUPE members to make the case for permanent protections and a path to citizenship for all immigrants. That’s why we need you in this fight. Make a donation of $15 or any amount to fuel our response to the court ruling.
