Release: Day of Action: Celebrating Workers and Denouncing SB4 and SB4 Copycat Laws

On May 1st, 2024, LUPE members will gather to celebrate workers and immigrants while denouncing Texas’ SB4 and similar laws that exploit workers for cheap labor.

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of workers and immigrants, is hosting a Day of Action in coordination with immigration-based organizations at both the state and national levels. The event aims to celebrate workers and immigrants while denouncing SB4 and similar copycat laws. It will feature presentations, activities, and a call to action urging individuals, businesses, schools, and churches to sign a letter of support against SB4 and the separation of families.

When: Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT

Who: La Unión Del Pueblo Entero immigration comite led by LUPE members.

Visuals: Speakers addressing the audience, participants engaging in Lotería and poster making, signs advocating for workers' rights and immigration reform.
