Getting an ITIN

Getting an ITIN

We offer full and fast electronic income tax services and reimbursements throughout the year. Even if you do not have a social security number, we can help you request your own personal identification number (ITIN). We also have experience on Self Employment Income Tax filing.

Note: Any person can file income tax regardless of their immigration status!

Filing for an ITIN number checklist

You will need to:

  • File an Income Tax Return.
  • Fill out an application to request an ITIN per household member that does not have a valid social security number.

For each ITIN application, two original and valid forms of identification are required (at least one must be a picture ID):

  • Civil Birth Certificate
  • Voting Identification Card
  • Consular ID
  • Driver’s License (U.S. or foreign)
  • Visa
  • Passport (If you have a Passport, it can be used as a stand alone form of ID)

For dependents under the age of 18, you will also need two forms of identification:

  • Civil Birth Certificate
  • Official school transcript signed and sealed (with picture, preferably)
  • Vaccination record (only for dependents under the age of 6)

If the IRS does not require additional materials, it takes about 8 – 10 weeks for IRS to process the ITIN. If you qualify for an income tax return, it would take 8 – 10 additional weeks to process your return after you receive your ITIN.
