Take action to win driving permits for survivors of domestic abuse & natural disasters, home insecure, and other populations in Texas who cannot access driver's licenses. Call the Texas State Affairs Committee members today and ask them to support bill HB 1058. Suggested Script for Chairman Paddie, State Affairs My name is (YOUR NAME) and I am calling (as a Texas voter, if you are a voter) to urge Representative Paddie to set a hearing date for HB 1058 which will create conditional driver’s permits in our state. A driver’s permit will help all Texans to be safe on the road. Thank you. NAME) to support HB 1058 to create conditional driver’s permits in our state. Allowing all Texans to obtain driver’s permits will make our roads safer by ensuring all drivers get proper training and ensures the continued economic contribution of immigrants and other marginalized communities, including survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
