Release: LUPE TO HOST COMMUNITY RALLY IN RESPONSE TO 5TH CIRCUIT RULING ON DACA

On Wednesday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals released a ruling on Texas v United States against DACA and sent it back to Judge Hanen in Brownsville to further decide the fate of the program.

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) will host a community rally with current and former DACA recipients. They will share their personal experiences with the deferred action program and what the future of DACA means for the Rio Grande Valley.

When: Monday, October 10th, 2022 from 10 AM – 11 AM CDT

Where: 600 E Harrison St #201, Brownsville, TX 78520

Who: La Union Del Pueblo Entero and community partners. 

Visuals: Speakers will present in English and Spanish in front of the Brownsville federal courthouse. A group of supporters will also be present with signs of support for the DACA program and demands for a pathway to Citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants.
