Release: LUPE CALLS ON COMMUNITY TO PREPARE FOR TAX SEASON

January 11, 2023

As tax season approaches, LUPE is reminding parents and families that filing income tax is for everyone, no matter your immigration status. Whether it’s filling out your income tax or requesting your own ITIN, LUPE experts are here to guide you.

La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) will offer low cost income tax service out of our offices in Alton and San Juan. LUPE specializes in helping those who need to file 1099 forms, including applying for an ITIN. An ITIN can help immigrant individuals and families stay up-to-date on their income taxes as they work in the United States. LUPE is ready to help families understand their options.

Edgar Navejar, Social Services Provider at LUPE, said, “Here at LUPE we specialize in helping low-income and immigrant families file their income tax and receive personalized assistance and the customer service you deserve. Being up-to-date and having your income tax done accurately is a way to set up your family and children for future success, no matter your immigration status.”

Income tax services are available at LUPE offices in Alton (416 S Alton Blvd suite a, Alton, TX 78573) and San Juan (1601 US-83 BUS, San Juan, TX 78589). At this time, this service is only offered in Hidalgo County offices.
