On Thursday, a group of LUPE members will testify against HB7 and HB800 at the Texas Capitol. Meanwhile, a separate group of LUPE members will host a “Pueblo Hearing” in San Juan  to share their stories and testimonies against the anti-immigrant border bills.

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), members, and border residents will give their support to those who went to Austin by hosting their own event at the LUPE headquarters. 

When: Thursday, March 18th, 2023, 10AM CDT – 12PM CDT

Where: La Unión Del Pueblo headquarters, 1601 US-83 BUS, San Juan, TX 78589

Who: La Unión Del Pueblo Entero, members, and border residents 

Visuals: Participants will be outside chanting and waving their flags by the mural in front of the main office. Participants will engage by speaking and elevating their concerns with these bills. 

Testifying to Border Security Senate Committee
