Release: LUPE members take control community issues by discussing how to organize at the Junta General

On October 6th, 2023, La Unión Del Pueblo Entero invites the public to a night of discussion on the issues the community faces and organizing to take place at the monthly Junta General.

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) will be hosting its monthly Junta General at the San Juan Headquarters. This gathering will include new and veteran LUPE members. There will also be an activity focused on leadership, where participants will engage with one another on an issue they would like to tackle as a committee, aiming to build urgency and organization within the community. 

When: Friday, October 6th, 2023 starting at 6:00 PM CDT 8:00 PM CDT 

Where: LUPE San Juan 1601 US-83 BUS, San Juan, TX 78589

Who: La Unión Del Pueblo Entero, LUPE members, and public residents   

Visuals: Before our introductory welcome staff will be passing out welcome sheets. Taking the stage announcing the new members of LUPE with a testimonial of a LUPE leader. A lecture will be presented by the staff leading up to the activity. During the activity, the public will be divided into groups to collaborate in forming a committee.
