Release: LUPE TO PROTEST AGAINST HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE FIELD HEARING

On March 15th, 2023, LUPE, ARISE, and Texas Civil Rights Project will be protesting the House Homeland Security Committee Field Hearing for using the Rio Grande Valley as a prop to advance their anti-immigrant agenda 

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE),  ARISE, and Texas Civil Rights Project will protest outside the Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence 

When: Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 starting at 8:15 AM – 10 AM CDT 

Where: South Texas College, Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence (RCPSE) 3901 S. Cage Blvd. Pharr, TX 78577. We will protest on the sidewalk in front of the building.

Who: La Unión Del Pueblo Entero, ARISE, and Texas Civil Rights Project

Visuals: Participants protest and chant outside of the Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence (RCPSE) building at STC. Chosen speakers will be giving speeches and be available for interviews as posters are waved and chants are shouted against the House Homeland Security Committee.
