Release: LUPE MARCHING IN AUSTIN FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND IN OPPOSITION OF GOV. ABBOTT’S HATEFUL POLICIES

On June 11th, 2023, LUPE, members, allies and hundreds of people will be in Austin to stand together against the harmful and divisive policies the Texas Legislature and Gov. Abbott have passed and signed into law   

What: La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), Never Again, and allies will gather in solidarity for a March of Defiance to make their voices heard and promote proper usage of resources, equality, and justice for all. 

When: Sunday, June 11th, 2023 starting at 3:00 PM CDT 

Where: Republic Square:  422 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78701

Who: Never Again, La Unión Del Pueblo Entero, and allies across race and background. 

Visuals: Participants protest, chant, and march at the Republic Square Plaza. Chosen speakers will be giving speeches and be available for interviews as posters are waved and chants are shouted against the hateful legislation who aim to separate families, mothers, children by the border of South Texas.
