The Need: On March 27, 2025, catastrophic flooding swept through the Rio Grande Valley, leaving people stranded in vehicles on the highway, affecting homes, personal property, and leaving our most vulnerable neighbors in crisis. For low-income families - already struggling in one of Texas' poorest regions - this disaster has created impossible choices between rent, repairs, medicine, and food.

LUPE's Response: As the one of the few trusted organization providing direct cash assistance to low-income flood survivors in the RGV, we're:
✅ Distributing emergency grants of up to $200 per family
✅ Ensuring 100% of donations go straight to impacted families

The Harsh Reality:
❌ No FEMA eligibility for our neighbors in need
❌ No safety net for day laborers who lost wages
❌ No other RGV organizations filling this gap
