On September 8th, The first session begins in LUPE’s Al Colegio Si Se Puede college readiness program for undocumented high school seniors.
Al Colegio Si Se Puede is a college readiness program that facilitates the college application process for undocumented high school seniors. The mission of Al Colegio Si Se Puede is to support undocumented students in the pursuit of their educational aspirations by making the process of accessing higher education more equitable.
What: In this session, we will go over different types of colleges, the Texas Dream Act, and guide students on how to complete a college application.
The sessions are only for undocumented high school seniors. Registration is open. Students can find more info and register on our website.
When: Friday, September 8th from 6:00 PM CDT to 8:00 PM CDT
Where: LUPE San Juan 1601 US-83 BUS, San Juan, TX 78589
Who: Carla Ocadiz, Education Equity Specialist is the instructor this friday at the LUPE San Juan office as she will be providing students information on the day’s session
Visuals: A presentation will be given to students, focusing on teaching them how to prepare for upcoming college applications and emphasizing the importance of being prepared.
Due to students and the topics presented we wish to create a comfortable learning session for those interested in their pursuit of their educational aspirations. Media will not be allowed at the session, but interviews with Carla are available days prior or before the session.
