Want to stand up for the immigrant community and join thousands of Texans for a march and rally at the State Capitol February 22? Want to help deliver thousands of postcards from the RGV calling on the Lt. Governor and Texas Speaker to stop legislation that criminalizes our families and damages our economy? Then reserve your spot on the bus today!

Trip itinerary:

    4am – Meet at LUPE San Juan (Corner of Business 83 and Cesar Chavez) and get on the bus for Austin. Breakfast will be provided on the way.
    10:30am – Arrive in Austin and gather at Waterloo Park
    11am – March from Waterloo Park to State Capitol
    1pm – Rally at the Capitol steps
    3pm – 5pm – Legislative visits (not all trip participants will participate in legislative visits)
    5pm – Leave Austin
    10-11 – Arrive back at LUPE San Juan

What to bring:

    Packed lunch or money for a meal
    Comfortable walking shoes
    Water bottle (water will be handed out during the rally only)
    Pillow/blanket for sleeping on the bus
    Your organization's banner
    Signs, art work, chants, noise makers, small musical instruments and other items for drumming up energy during the march
    Willingness to be flexible as things don't always work out the way we plan and plans may change
    A commitment to non-violence
    Energy and ganas to join your voice with the immigrant community!
