Are you community-oriented with an interest in serving others? Want to learn more about the work that LUPE is doing in the community? Looking for opportunities to get your organization involved in the community?

Then why not volunteer with LUPE!

We believe that members of the low income community have the responsibility and obligation to organize themselves and advocate for the issues that affect their lives. Through our volunteer and internship programs, we connect community-oriented youth and students with colonia residents working to create a better future for themselves and their families. Volunteers add energy and ideas to efforts led by colonia residents to create social change in their communities.

Volunteers help colonia residents in a variety of ways, including raising awareness about the services we offer the community, helping colonia residents with neighborhood clean-ups, inviting residents to colonia meetings, registering new voters, and raising community awareness about the issues and challenges colonia residents face. If you’re interested in a long-term project, or just offering your afternoon or weekend for community service, we have opportunities for you.

I’d like to volunteer with LUPE.

Volunteers help us build a strong organization better capable of fighting for the needs of the community. We hope you consider offering your time toward our efforts to create a better community for all.
