Federally and in other regions, authorities have prioritized life during disaster response. Here Customs and Border Protection is prioritizing immigration enforcement over the lives of border residents. Local CBP’s position sends the message: “We do what we want.”
But we won’t let local CBP go rogue and prioritize immigration enforcement over life. We are telling Chief Patrol Rosendo Hinojosa: “Treat the lives of border residents with the same value as the lives of all the other communities.”
Join the action! Call Chief Patrol Rosendo Hinojosa at 956-289-4800 and tell him:
“Hi my name is [your name] and I am calling on behalf of the many immigrant residents of the Rio Grande Valley to tell you: Prioritize life and stop immigration enforcement during and after hurricane evacuations. Treat the lives of border residents with the same value as the lives of all the other communities.”
